Event: Empowering Families with the EarlyBrain Project in Turin, Italy

Early childhood is a crucial development stage where families of children with disabilities face unique challenges. This workshop will explore how best to support young children and their families and the role of inclusive, family-centred Early Childhood Intervention policies in ensuring the right support from the start.

Early childhood is a critical period for development, yet many children and their families face challenges in accessing the right support at the right time. Parents and caregivers often navigate complex situations – from managing hypersensitivity, cognitive inflexibility, and changes in routines, to finding inclusive and tailored services.

The EarlyBrain project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, set out to address these challenges. Over its lifetime, the project has developed innovative training materials, storytelling tools, and policy recommendations to strengthen Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) across Europe. By combining scientific knowledge with lived experiences, EarlyBrain has aimed to bridge the gap between research, practice, and policy.

The Final Event of EarlyBrain will bring together partners, experts, and stakeholders to showcase project outcomes, share stories from families and professionals, and open a dialogue on the future of ECI in Europe. Through a mix of personal testimonies, panel discussions, and policy exchanges, the event will celebrate achievements while looking ahead at how to build more inclusive, supportive environments for young children and their families.

This gathering is not just a conclusion, but a stepping stone toward stronger collaboration and innovation in Early Childhood Intervention – ensuring that every child has the best possible start in life.
